Green Bean Twist Casserole

 
 

If you know me, then you know my favorite food in all the world is green bean casserole. But, I’m always excited to try different versions of it and this one did not disappoint!

This recipe makes about 8 servings.

Notes for this recipe - I didn’t add the french fried onions to the top because I didn’t have any on hand. It was still great without it! I also added Auntie Nono’s seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans French style green beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 can shoepeg corn, drained and rinsed

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    Topping:

  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed

  • 1/2 stick melted butter

  • 1 cup French fried onions

Here’s how to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 8x8 casserole dish with nonstick spray.

  • Mix all casserole ingredients together and spread into baking dish.

  • Put crushed Ritz crackers all over top and drizzle with melted butter.

  • Bake for 45 minutes at 350 (or until bubbly and top is brown)

  • The last 5 minutes, take it out of the oven and sprinkle with French fried onions and return to oven for the last 5 minutes.

  • Enjoy!
