Spicy Mississippi Pot Roast

Looking for a way to change up the classic Mississippi Pot Roast? Here you go!!

This recipe makes about 6-8 servings.

Notes for this recipe - I couldn’t find the hot chili peppers Jessica uses, so I just used jalapenos!

*If you want to watch the video of this being made, this recipe starts at the 12:17 mark.

We’ve made the classic Mississippi Pot Roast for years but this spicy twist on that basic recipe was a homerun in our house!

Submitted by Jessica.

Ingredients

  • 1 3lb chuck roast or London broil

  • 1 packet Spicy Ranch seasoning mix

  • 1 packet Au Jus gravy mix

  • 1 stick of butter

  • jar of hot chili peppers (you’ll use about 3/4 of the juice and peppers)

Here’s how to make it

  • Place roast in the bottom of slow cooker.

  • Sprinkle both seasoning packets over top of the roast and place the stick of butter on top of it all.

  • Add peppers and juice all around the roast.

  • Cook on low for 7-8 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes!
