Quick and Easy Steamed Cod

A 15 minute dinner idea that packs so much flavor! I also steamed my carrots along with the cod and had a full dinner in about 20 minutes!

This makes about 3-4 servings.

Notes: Feel free to use any lemon/garlic combo with this. I just used Auntie Nono’s Seafood seasoning because that’s what I had on hand. I used my Buydeem Steamer, but you can steam on the stove top, too!

*If you want to watch the video of this being made, this recipe starts at the 16:10 mark.

When you need a light dinner that comes together in minutes, steaming fish is always a great option!

Ingredients

  • 3-4 cod filets

  • salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp Auntie Nono’s Seafood Seasoning

  • 1 lemon

Here’s how to make it

  • Pat cod dry. Season with whatever seasonings you prefer.

  • Place cod in steamer. *You could also thinly slice the lemon and place those slices under the cod so it will absorb the lemon.

  • Steam until cod reaches internal temp of 145 degrees F. (Mine took about 10 minutes, but I did have thinner pieces.)

  • Once done, squeeze a little lemon juice over your fish and enjoy!
