20 Minute Salisbury Steaks
Cooking for 2 doesn’t have to mean that you forego classic comfort foods. This meal was amazing and came together so quickly.
This makes 2 servings.
NOTES Use whatever gravy you’d like!

So nice to have a comfort meal in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients
1/2 lb lean ground beef
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp each garlic powder & onion powder
Salt & Black Pepper
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 small onion, sliced or diced
2 Tbsp olive oil (I used garlic infused OO)
1 packet brown gravy mix + 1 cup water (OR a jar of beef gravy if you want it to go even faster).
Here’s how to make it
In a bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, Worcestershire (dub sauce), and seasonings with your hands. Don’t overmix.
Heat a medium skillet to medium-high heat. Split the ground beef mixture into two and shape into ovals (so they will fit side-by-side in the pan).
Pour olive oil in pan and place “steaks” in. Allow to cook on each side for about 3 minutes, until color is developed. You won’t be cooking them all the way through.
Remove to a plate and add mushrooms and onions to the pan, scraping up any browned meat bits. Add more olive oil if necessary.
Sauté for 3-5 minutes until softened. Meanwhile, whisk gravy mix and water together.
Once the veggies are softened, pour in the gravy. Bring to a simmer.
Place the “steaks” back into the pan and turn to med-low. Spoon gravy over the steaks and then place a lid on the pan.
Allow to finish cooking the “steaks” (5 minutes or so).
Serve with mashed potatoes!
