Air Fryer Honey Bacon Potatoes

These honey bacon potatoes are the perfect side dish that you can throw in the air fryer and your family will LOVE it! I found a recipe online for these but it called for boiling the potatoes AND roasting them in the oven for 50 minutes. I didn’t want to do that, so I opted to turn this recipe into one that I would be willing to make!

This makes about 4-6 servings.

NOTES You could absolutely just roast these in the oven if you don’t have an air fryer. But I wouldn’t boil them first. I feel like you’ll just have potato mush!

This side dish is so good and has an unexpected flavor!

Ingredients

  • 4 Yukon gold potatoes, cut into 1 inch chunks

  • 2-3 slices, thick cut bacon, cut into small bite-sized pieces

  • 2 Tbsp honey

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/2 - 1 tsp onion powder

  • 3 tsp minced garlic

  • 1-2 Tbsp olive oil

Here’s how to make it

  • Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.

  • Toss potato chunks with olive oil to coat well. Season with whatever seasonings you desire. (I used S&P and onion powder)

  • Mist air fryer basket with oil before adding potatoes in a single layer. Air fry for 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees F.

  • Meanwhile, cook bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain fat.

  • In a small bowl mix bacon with garlic and honey.

  • Once finished, remove potatoes to a large bowl and toss with honey bacon mixture.

  • Serve and enjoy!
