Mexican loaded hash brown patties are a whole meal!
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
8 frozen hash brown patties
3 Tbsp (or one packet) taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
1 cup shredded cheese (I used habanero jack)
1/4 red onion, diced
1 jalapeno, thinly sliced
Optional:
1 avocado
garlic powder and salt (or just garlic salt)
1/2 lime, just the juice
taco sauce
Here’s how to make it
Preheat oven to 425. Place patties on baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, flip them and then bake for 10 minutes longer.
While those are baking, heat a large skillet to med-high. Cook and crumble ground beef. Drain excess grease.
Add taco seasoning and about 1/2 cup of water to ground beef in skillet. Mix well. Remove from heat.
Once hash brown patties are done, add 1-2 spoonful taco meat. Top with cheese, onion, jalapeno and taco sauce.
If you’d like to add guac just mash your avocado and mix with garlic salt and lime juice. Top your patties and then put the jalapeno and taco sauce on top of that.
